Conversion happens on your device
Text, selected files, and results are processed in your browser using locally executed JavaScript. There is no conversion API or upload endpoint. Selecting or dropping a file reads its bytes into browser memory; it does not upload the file.
No saved conversion history
The application does not write inputs, outputs, or preferences to cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or URLs. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising scripts, or third-party fonts. The Clear button removes data from the page, and the application clears fields when you leave it. This is not a guarantee of secure memory erasure: your browser, operating system, or extensions may retain information.
What still reaches the hosting provider
Loading any website sends a normal page request to its hosting provider. This site is prepared for Cloudflare hosting. Cloudflare can receive your IP address, requested URL, user agent, timing information, and other request metadata to deliver and protect the site. This is separate from converter input, which the application never includes in a request.
Cloudflare’s edge configuration and platform retention are controlled separately from this application. This page does not promise zero infrastructure logs. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of information.
Clipboard and downloaded files
Copy writes to your system clipboard only when you click it. Save file creates a download on your device. Those actions put data outside the page’s memory. Clipboard history, synchronized clipboards, backup tools, downloads, browser extensions, and other software are outside this application’s control.
Verify the promise
- Open your browser’s developer tools and select the Network tab.
- Wait for the page’s local scripts to load, then clear the request list.
- Enter test content, encode or decode it, and check that conversion makes no network requests.
- Inspect Application or Storage to confirm the app has not saved conversion history.
- Inspect the readable application source and its network restrictions.
The Content Security Policy blocks script-initiated network connections with connect-src 'none' and disallows third-party scripts. After the converter code has loaded, conversion can continue without an internet connection while the tab remains open. An offline reload is not guaranteed.
Advertising
This version has no ads. If sponsorship is introduced, the intended model is a small, clearly labeled static placement outside the converter, without tracking scripts or access to conversion content. Any change to actual data handling must be reflected here before release.
Limits of local processing
Base64 is not encryption. A compromised device, browser extension, or modified site can compromise data. Use an approved offline tool for highly sensitive material. Decoded content is displayed as plain text or downloaded as bytes; this application does not render decoded HTML, open decoded links, or execute decoded code.
